"Pass the Plantains" is an original oil painting on a 30" x 40" birch wood panel with a 2" cradle (depth).
I have a weakeness for plantains. Fried, steamed, sauteed. While in Guatemala, I could not ever seem to get enough. They embody so much of Central America and I could not help but find myself working them into my paintings. Their shape serves as such a good subject to experiement with pattern.
