"First Breath of the Pacific" is inspired by my first experience viewing the Pacific Coast Highway. I remember cruising up the coast from Venice Beach to Malibu and stopping to watch the surfers suiting up to catch the biggest waves of the day. The colors, the air, the weather, the way of life.
